Continuing my father's legacy, I assumed his role as managing director of Compass Advisors in 2005. Ever passionate about the process, I guide clients through optimal exit strategies and growth capital investments with the insight and certitude of a seasoned M&A advisor. Applying my own brand of fiscal expertise and shrewd judgment in navigating client goals and objectives, I've effectively negotiated more than 100 transactions for a broad range of middle-market companies in the Rocky Mountain region.
I earned an MBA from Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University in 2013, and, in addition to my M&A certification, I hold a real estate license in Montana, and am both a Certified Business Intermediary® (CBI) and a Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI). Additionally, I have also served on the board of directors for M&A professionals.
I joined Compass Advisors in 2016 as a senior associate. A natural communicator and adept project manager, I have a keen eye for detail and the interpersonal awareness necessary to expertly handle the nuances of each unique client relationship and negotiation.
I moved to Montana in 1998, and later launched a construction company focused on the purchasing and renovation of century-old properties. I hold a real estate license in Montana and completed the Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Professional (CMAP) program at the Michael J. Coles College of Business, in affiliation with M&A Source, in 2020.
Prior to my M&A career, I graduated from the United States Marine Corps/United States Navy School of Combat Medicine in 2014 and proudly served in the United States Navy until my honorable discharge in 2021.
Upon joining the Compass Advisors team in August of 2022, I streamlined the transaction process by managing the flow of information, analyzing financials, preparing reports, and completing various tasks to help facilitate efficient, effective operations. I particularly enjoy working closely with the founders to convey to potential buyers the value their experience, integrity, and diligence brings to every transaction they handle.
I earned my undergraduate degree in finance from the Farmer School of Business (Miami University of Ohio) and worked as a credit analyst at AgileCap, a boutique M&A lender in Park City, Utah, prior to moving to the Gallatin Valley and accepting my current position at Compass.
